Through leadership, support, and professional development, District 11's Mathematics Department assists teachers in providing the highest quality of instruction and curriculum in mathematical thinking, processing and problem-solving with the goals of increased achievement, deep mathematical understanding and procedural mastery for all students.
The mission of the Colorado Springs District 11 Mathematics Department is to ensure all students have opportunity and access to learn meaningful mathematics with depth and understanding, to use methods of mathematical inquiry and to apply concepts and skills in a variety of contexts where mathematics is necessary to understand and interpret our world for the global economy of the twenty-first century.
