Flexible Labor Experts (FLEX) Plan
 
The FLEX Plan creates a new personnel position category in District 11 in order to bring more flexibility and efficiency in terms of labor costs and structure. In general terms, the FLEX Plan works as follows:

All FLEX Plan employees are part-time and employed “At Will."

FLEX Plan employees may be Teachers, ESP, or Executive Professional category. FLEX Plan employees remain as members of one of the three employee groups and are subject to the respective agreements of those groups in most cases.
 
FLEX Plan employees are eligible to participate in the D11 benefits plan.  They are responsible for paying 50% of the premium for Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage. Life insurance is continued, but no Long Term Disability coverage is available.
 

  
All PERA retirees hired by Colorado Springs School District 11 must be FLEX Workers
